privtech.app is a privacy-gear marketplace. We hold ourselves to the same standard we expect from the products we list: collect nothing you don't need, be transparent about what does happen.

1. Cookies

Anonymous browsing sets zero cookies. No tracking pixels, no analytics cookies, no session identifiers are placed on your device when you browse the catalog or product pages.

The only cookies this site ever issues are:

  • Beta-gate cookie — a short-lived first-party cookie set when you authenticate through the private-beta access page. It is removed when the public launch closes the beta gate.
  • Supabase auth cookies — issued only to authenticated admin users. Visitors never receive these.

2. Third-party image loads

Product images currently load directly from vendor CDN servers (e.g. manufacturer or retailer content-delivery networks). When your browser fetches an image, the vendor's server sees your IP address and user-agent string — the same information exposed by any direct visit to that vendor's website.

To limit what those third parties learn about your browsing context, this site sends a Referrer-Policy: no-referrer header on all responses. Vendor CDNs therefore cannot see which privtech.app page triggered the image request.

We are actively building a self-hosted image mirror. Once deployed, images will be served from our own infrastructure and no image requests will reach third-party servers. This page will be updated when that change ships.

3. Analytics

We run no analytics at this time — no page-view tracking, no event tracking, no third-party analytics scripts.

If we add analytics in the future, it will be server-side and aggregate only: no cookies, no client-side JavaScript trackers, and no data tied to individual visitors or devices.

4. Server logs

Our hosting infrastructure (Netlify) retains standard HTTP access logs — IP address, request path, timestamp, and HTTP status code. These logs are used solely for uptime monitoring and abuse prevention and are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Netlify's own privacy policy governs their handling of infrastructure data.

5. Data we do not collect

  • Names, email addresses, or contact details from visitors
  • Purchase history or click-through behavior
  • Device fingerprints or persistent identifiers
  • Location data beyond what is inherent in an IP address
